Original U.S. Civil War Whitney 2nd Model Navy Percussion Revolver in .36 Caliber Serial 11448 U.S. Replica Intended for issue to Junior Intended for issue to Junior Officer's and specialized forces such as Pioneers and Sappers this model was produced with the old series side lock (action) which resembled having been converted from Flintlock and in 1842 was replaced by the more commonly encountered Lovell's style lock This is a wonderful example of a rare ignition system with matching serial making it a rare and sought antique rifle
